While it’s spicy and hot, a slight apple sweetness exists. Kids will like this mild spicy Lo Mein. The dish is served delicious either hot or cold.

Recipe Ingredients, 4 servings

  • 4 portions Chinese egg noodles

  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger

  • ☆1 tsp Doubanjian sauce (broad bean paste)
  • ☆80 ml water
  • 2 tsp sesame seed oil
  • A mixture of 4 tsp starch and 4 TBS water

Tips

- Grating the apple skin enables smooth texture to get a mild finish.
- Both meat and apple juices should be boiled down to receive the good flavor.
- The left-over meat sauce could be used as a topping for a slice of white bread, preferably served with mayonnaise. It is delicious!
